CrossFit Teens (Ages 13-17)

Our Teens class is held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 4:30pm. It is for ages 13-17. This class introduces teens to the correct foundation movements. We have several different levels of athletes in the teens class and we will scale their workouts accordingly to help teach them proper movements and also to prevent injury.

Our goal for kids and teens is not to create the best CrossFit athlete. We want to use CrossFit to help get (or keep) the kids/teens conditioned to help them excel at other activities they might participate in through recreational, travel teams or school. We encourage our kids and teens to try new things and have fun!

The program combines age-appropriate weightlifting and gymnastics with high intensity training to deliver optimal fitness and performance, as well as to establish a lifetime love of fitness! We focus on basic gymnastics to increase agility, mobility and flexibility. The workouts are fun and include games that focus on building strength and conditioning. Healthy living requires that our kids push, pull, run, throw, climb, lift, and jump effectively and safely regardless of their athletic ability. In order for teens to learn and succeed in other sports, they need to start with the basics.

Our program will increase physical competence in 10 fitness domains: Cardiovascular and Respiratory Endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy.

In addition, we aim to boost self-esteem and confidence within our teens. We strive to give them the strength, both physically and mentally, to tackle any obstacle thrown their way inside or out of the gym. With workouts that are scalable for all individuals, our teen workouts can equally benefit both the accomplished athlete as well as the less active individual. If your teenager is already an athlete, our program is designed to take them to the next level by teaching proper mechanics, recovery, movement, nutrition, and flexibility. If your teen is not an athlete, our program is guaranteed to help them establish healthy lifestyle habits, and convert them from a sedentary lifestyle to a more active, beneficial one.

Every teen can experience and celebrate progress. As you watch your teens grow in ability and confidence, you will also see them learn that work results in success!
